97,000 Meals Packaged; 20,000 Meals headed to Ukraine Relief Efforts
3/12/2022: On Saturday March 12th, the Allstar team of Rotary Club of Caldwells members and other volunteers diligently worked prepping Mac & Cheese, Rice & Beans, and Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal. Together 97,000 meals were packaged, most of which are being delivered to local food banks. Additionally, 20,000 meals are headed to aid the conflict in Ukraine by way of St. John’s Ukrainian Church and the Ukrainian Church of Whippany.
Finally, special thanks to Christine for championing the event and making sure everything ran smoothly. Another shout out to Kevin who was there all day Saturday and coordinated the distribution of leftover products! Thanks to all who volunteered and supported this special event.

Rotary Club of the Caldwells Donates to Dominican Republic Relief Efforts

2/25/2022: The Rotary Club of the Caldwells donated $3,400 for the purchase of two Medical Wall Systems for the Dominican Republic Relief Organization Facilities (DRRO). These units will give local physicians the ability to provide medical testing to the local impoverished community. Features of this state of the art system include measurement capabilities for ophthalmoscopes, otoscopes, thermometry, blood pressure, and vital signs. Effective diagnostics will now be within reach of thousands of individuals living near the facility who prior had little access to quality medical care and services. Check out the picture to the right to see an example of a Medical Wall System. Special Thanks to DRRO president and long-time Rotarian Mike for his continued efforts.
