Welcome to The Caldwell Rotary Community Corps (CRCC)
Service to others and improving the quality of live in our community has been important to the Rotary Club of The Caldwells since its inception in 1951. We, as Rotarians, understand that when ordinary people work together toward common goals, they truly can make a difference. Margaret Mead once said,
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
Add to this the fact that few things we do compare with the satisfaction of generating an idea to help others and then working together to make our ideas a reality.
The Challenges We Face
The number one obstacle seems to be lack of time. Most people would like to give back to their community - and many do - but others are faced with busy schedules, lengthy commutes and have active families that keep them running. It is no wonder that community service slips down on the priority list.
Rotary's Committment to You
If you would like to give back to your community but do not wish to join a service club that meets weekly, consider joining the Caldwell Rotary Community Corps. There are no formal attendance requirements and you would have the oppportunity to propose and/or work on service projects that interest you and fit your lifestyle.
Rotary International is the oldest and one of the largest service organizations in the world. Even though we turned 100 years old a few years ago, we continue to evolve to meet the needs of the world and our communities. The Rotary Club of The Caldwells recognizes that lack of time often stands between people and service. Therefore, we are taking advantage of a program formed by Rotary 25 years ago that enables Rotarians and members of the community to work together, supporting each other in their service objectives.
The Caldwell Rotary Community Corps will be a separate organization of non-Rotarians with the right to choose its own service projects. The Rotary Club and the Community Corps will join forces whenever it makes sense for both clubs.
The success of the Caldwell Rotary Community Corps is very important to the Rotary Club of The Caldwells. Rotary International and the Rotary Club of The Caldwells both have a long and successful history of service to others (and having fun while doing it). As part of the Rotary Family, the many organizational resources of Rotary are available to assist every Rotary Community Corps acheive their goals and objectives.
